(Rights Defense Network Information Center report) On September 29, 2026, this website learned of the case details and profile of Ms. Jin Zhimei, a Falun Gong practitioner from Lufeng County, Chuxiong Prefecture, Yunnan Province, who was sentenced to five years. The information is now reported as follows:

Jin Zhimei: A female Falun Gong practitioner from Lufeng County, Chuxiong Prefecture, Yunnan Province, born in 1977 and aged 49 in 2026. She lives in Zhujia Village, Jinma Town, Guandu District, Kunming. She began practicing Falun Gong in 2008. In 2017, she was arrested for promoting Falun Gong and was later sentenced to about three years in prison.

On the evening of March 25, 2026, Jin Zhimei was arrested at home by state security officers from Lufeng County, Chuxiong, and Guandu District, Kunming, and was subsequently held at the Lufeng County Detention Center. She was later placed under criminal detention, had her arrest approved, and was indicted. In September 2026, the local court held a hearing without notifying her family and sentenced her to five years in prison. Her sentence ends on March 24, 2031.
