Jin Zhimei: A female Falun Gong practitioner from Lufeng County, Chuxiong Prefecture, Yunnan Province, born in 1977 and aged 49 in 2026. She lives in Zhujia Village, Jinma Town, Guandu District, Kunming. She began practicing Falun Gong in 2008. In 2017, she was arrested for promoting Falun Gong and was later sentenced to about three years in prison.
On the evening of March 25, 2026, Jin Zhimei was arrested at home by state security officers from Lufeng County, Chuxiong, and Guandu District, Kunming, and was subsequently held at the Lufeng County Detention Center. She was later placed under criminal detention, had her arrest approved, and was indicted. In September 2026, the local court held a hearing without notifying her family and sentenced her to five years in prison. Her sentence ends on March 24, 2031.

The Rights Defense Network Information Center reported that preacher An Yankui, pastor of Taiyuan Xuncheng Reformed Church, was taken from his home by the Taiyuan Public Security Bureau at about 10:30 a.m. on September 29, 2026, on suspicion of organizing illegal religious activities.
