Chen Yunfei: Statement on Going into Hiding and Fleeing

For the following reasons:

1. On April 5, 2026, the Qingming Festival, Xiao Min and Chen Xueyong were summoned for holding a moment of silence to commemorate the righteous people who died striving for democracy and freedom in mainland China.

2. On April 17–18, 2026, while attending the brothers’ retreat of the “Early Rain Covenant Reformed Church,” Brother Xiao was summoned by the police.

3. On May 7, 2026, while having tea in Xipu, Pidu, Huang Xiaomin was summoned.

4. On May 12, 2026, at the 18th-anniversary memorial moment of silence for petitioners, Huang Xiaomin was summoned.

And so on, while all the summonses were directed at me: Did you participate? Are you the organiser? What was the purpose of the activity?

Therefore, with June 4 approaching, out of fear that they will use an excuse to send me to prison; moreover, since June 4, 2007, every June 4 I have been either in prison, in a black jail, or being taken on forced trips, so now I have no choice but to go into hiding and flee… Please bless me! See you after June 4!!!
