His team has documented labor rights events in China for five consecutive years. The WeChat public account he operates, “Chiapas East Wind Television,” stopped updating on September 14, 2026. An over-100,000-character article, “2025 Labor Rights Events,” produced by a volunteer team and published on December 31, 2025, had previously been deleted. News emerged on September 30 that he had been detained by Guangzhou police and had met with a lawyer. It has now been learned that he is currently held at Guangzhou Yuexiu District Detention Center.
