Ms. Cao Ping, a Falun Gong practitioner from Ankang City, Shaanxi Province, sentenced to 8 years, persecuted to death in Shaanxi Women's Prison

（Rights Defense Network Information Center report）On September 6, 2026， this website learned: Ms. Cao Ping, a Falun Gong practitioner from Ankang City, Shaanxi Province, who had been sentenced to eight years in prison, was persecuted to death in Shaanxi Women's Prison in April 2026， at the age of 74。

Cao Ping: Female Falun Gong practitioner from Ankang City, Shaanxi Province。 Born in 1952。 On September 24, 2022, Falun Gong practitioners Cao Ping、 Chen Jun、 and Du Fengying were arrested and framed by police from Langao County, Ankang City, while they were out， and were subsequently criminally detained、 formally arrested、 and prosecuted， with a trial held on April 23, 2023. On October 25, 2023， Cao Ping was sentenced to eight years in prison by Xunyang Court， fined 50,000 yuan， and had all of her personal property seized during the home raid confiscated（including 40,000 yuan that was to be used for her pension）。 Her sentence ends on September 23, 2030。 At that time, one of her eyes was already blind， and the vision in the other eye was blurred。 Her lawyer twice applied for medical parole for her during the first- and second-instance proceedings， but both applications were rejected by the judges。 Ms. Cao Ping was initially held at the Hanbin District Detention Center。 On April 19, 2024， Cao Ping was forcibly taken to Shaanxi Women's Prison， where she was held in the Eighth Squadron。 During the final period of Cao Ping's life， the prison sent her to Xi'an Aerospace Hospital for so-called “treatment”。 However, her relatives and friends have serious questions about the cause of her death——because during her last telephone call with the outside world while she was alive， she suddenly blurted out, “It’s too cruel,” but before she could finish speaking, the prison guards forcibly interrupted her and changed the subject。 In April 2026， Cao Ping was persecuted to death in Shaanxi Women's Prison。
