（(Report by the Rights Defense Network Information Center)）On May 30, 2026, this website learned of the case details and profile of Ms. Hu Xiaoyun, a Falun Gong practitioner in Hengyang, Hunan, who was sentenced to seven years. They are reported as follows:

Hu Xiaoyun: A female Falun Gong practitioner in Hengyang, Hunan, born in August 1965 and aged 61 in 2026. She is a retired employee of the Hengyang Shoe Factory and lives in Jianshe Xincun, Shigu District, Hengyang. She began practicing Falun Gong in 1995. After the CCP began its frenzied persecution of Falun Gong in July 1999, Hu Xiaoyun was sentenced by the CCP to one year in prison and subjected to long-term forced brainwashing for persisting in her Falun Gong faith.

Beginning in June 2022, some Falun Gong practitioners produced audio recordings and submitted them to the “Zhengjian Radio” section of Zhengjian Net. During their coordination, they created groups on social media applications such as Signal, Telegram, and Safechat for communication and discussion, which attracted the attention of the CCP authorities. Hu Xiaoyun was arrested by the Shigu District Public Security Bureau on March 31, 2024, for participating in this matter. On December 31, 2025, she was sentenced to seven years in prison by the Zhengxiang District Court and fined 30,000 yuan. This was the second time Hu Xiaoyun had been illegally sentenced by the CCP. Hu Xiaoyun subsequently appealed, and the Hengyang Intermediate People’s Court upheld the original judgment in April 2026. Her sentence ends on: March 30, 2031.
