Case Details and Biography of Ms. Yang Xiaoming, a Blind Falun Gong Practitioner from Kunming, Yunnan, Sentenced to 7 Years

Yang Xiaoming:A Falun Gong practitioner from Kunming, Yunnan,female,born in 1969,aged 57 in 2026。She has suffered from eye problems since childhood。In 1995,Yang Xiaoming began practicing Falun Gong。In 1999,the Chinese Communist Party began its frenzied persecution of Falun Gong,and because Yang Xiaoming adhered to her faith,she was repeatedly persecuted,forced to undergo an abortion、divorced、dismissed from public employment、and subjected to re-education through labor twice;she suffered various forms of torture in the re-education-through-labor camps,her eyes were beaten until they were disabled,and she became completely blind at the end of 2012。

On the afternoon of May 28, 2022,Yang Xiaoming was arrested and placed in criminal detention。Because Yang Xiaoming failed her medical examination,the detention center refused to accept her,and the police sent Yang Xiaoming home on bail pending trial。She was later still prosecuted。On February 1, 2023,she stood trial at the Xishan District Court。On March 14, 2023,Yang Xiaoming received at home the verdict delivered by the Xishan District Court,which sentenced her to 7 years in prison and fined her 20,000 yuan。Afterward,Yang Xiaoming remained at home because of her physical condition and was not taken into custody。

Around late March 2026,Yang Xiaoming suddenly disappeared from her home,leaving an open wooden door,an overturned chair,and a table covered with disordered items……Friends judged that Yang Xiaoming may have been forcibly taken into custody by the police and subjected to persecution。Sentence ends:March 2033。
