Wang Yifei previously founded the Xinghua Association，spray-painting slogans in multiple locations calling for the disclosure of officials’ assets and direct elections of people’s representatives；the rehabilitation of June Fourth and the end of one-party rule；he was arrested on June 6, 2018，and later sentenced to 2 years for the crime of provoking trouble；after his release，he was arrested again on May 17, 2022, for participating in the formation of the China Democratic Victory Party，and was later sentenced to 7 years and 6 months for subversion。He is currently serving his sentence at Leimaping Prison in Sichuan Province。

Wang Yifei’s resume：Born on June 20, 1985，he is from Dongkou County, Shaoyang City, Hunan Province，a long-term resident of Nanchang City, Jiangxi Province，used the alias Xiao Li，the online name “Yifei Ascends to Heaven”，a member of the secret online organization “Xingzhong Association“，the founder of the secret online pro-democracy organization”Xinghua Association“，an important member of the China Democratic Victory Party（a secret political party），a victim of the “2022 Luzhou Mass Arrest Case”，and a Chinese political prisoner currently in custody。

For many years, he has engaged in the democracy movement in a low-key yet active manner；because he founded and, together with dissident Zeng Guofan and many others, actively promoted the online organization “Xinghua Association”，advocated that people in China establish civic circles，and carried out actions to enlighten the public，he was subjected to strict control and suppression by the Jiangxi authorities；because members and supporters of the association spray-painted the official sensitive slogans “Disclose Officials’ Assets, Directly Elect People’s Representatives”、“Rehabilitate June Fourth, End One-Party Rule”、“The Souls of June Fourth, May They Rest in Peace” and others on numerous buildings in Nanchang、Ganzhou and other places，with the slogans signed “Xinghua Association,”on June 6, 2018，he and Zeng Guofan’s wife were consequently taken away by Nanchang police，and the following day were criminally detained on suspicion of “inciting subversion of state power”；Zeng Guofan’s wife was later released on bail pending trial，while he and Zeng Guofan were instead continuously detained by the 4•28 joint task group formed by the Nanchang Municipal Public Security Bureau；on July 13, 2018，the two were formally arrested by the Nanchang Municipal Procuratorate on the same charge，and detained at the Nanchang No. 1 Detention Center；on April 3, 2019，their case was heard at the Nanchang County Court in Jiangxi Province，where the charges were changed，and they were sentenced to 2 years’ imprisonment for “provoking trouble”，after which they were sent to Nanchang Hongdu Prison to serve their sentences；on June 6, 2020，they were released after completing their sentences；

On May 9, 2022，his WeChat public account “Yifei Ascends to Heaven” suddenly stopped being used，and his WeChat Moments also stopped being updated on May 17，after which it was learned that he had been taken away by police in Luzhou City, Sichuan Province, and placed under residential surveillance、on September 7 of the same year, he was transferred to criminal detention，and on September 30 he was arrested；in November 2024，he was given a heavy sentence of 7 years and 6 months in prison，deprived of political rights for 3 years，and fined 80,000 yuan，with his sentence running until January 2030。

On January 25, 2025, it was learned that five other core members had also been sentenced along with him，all accused of participating in the formation and development of the “China Democratic Victory Party” ，following first-instance proceedings before the Sichuan Luzhou Intermediate Court and second-instance proceedings before the Sichuan High Court，all were sentenced to varying prison terms of between 12 and 3 years for the crime of “subverting state power”; among them，he was sentenced to 7 years and 6 months，while Tang Gaofeng was sentenced to 12 years，Wang Wei to 8 years，Zhou Dan to 6 years，Liu Zhenggang to 5 years and 6 months，and Dai Lu to 3 years; this case is a typical “persecution case involving the formation of a secret political party”，because all six of them were cut off from contact for 3 years，almost none of their family members received any legal documents or notices，and they were not allowed to see the defendants or apply for lawyers to represent them，receiving only intimidation and threats，so the case remained little known outside the authorities。Previously, he was detained in Precinct No. 1 of the Luzhou City Detention Center in Sichuan Province。He was later transferred to Precinct No. 9 of Leimaping Prison in Fuxi Town, Emeishan City, Sichuan Province, to serve his sentence。Sentence ends:：January 2030。
