Wang Yifei previously founded the Xinghua Association，and sprayed slogans calling for the disclosure of officials’ assets and direct elections of people’s representatives in multiple locations；for the rehabilitation of the June 4, 1989 crackdown and the end of one-party rule；he was arrested on June 6, 2018，and subsequently sentenced to 2 years in prison for picking quarrels and provoking trouble；after his release，he was arrested again on May 17, 2022, for participating in the establishment of the China Democratic Victory Party，and was subsequently sentenced to 7 years and 6 months for subversion。He is currently serving his sentence at Leimaping Prison in Sichuan Province。

Wang Yifei’s biography：Born on June 20, 1985，he is from Dongkou County, Shaoyang City, Hunan Province，and is a long-term resident of Nanchang City, Jiangxi Province，using the alias Xiao Li，the online name “Yifei Soars into the Sky”，a member of the online clandestine organization “Xingzhong Association“，the founder of the online clandestine pro-democracy organization ”Xinghua Association“，an important member of the China Democratic Victory Party（an underground party organization），a victim of the “Luzhou 2022 Mass Arrest Case”，and a political prisoner detained in China。

For many years, he has engaged quietly but actively in the pro-democracy movement；because he founded and, together with dissidents including Zeng Guofan, actively promoted the online organization “Xinghua Association”，advocated that people inside China establish civic circles，and carried out activities to enlighten the public，he was subjected to strict control and suppression by the Jiangxi authorities；because members and supporters of the association sprayed official sensitive slogans such as “Disclose officials’ assets, directly elect people’s representatives”、“Rehabilitate June 4, end one-party rule”、“Spirits of the June 4 martyrs, rest in peace forever” on numerous buildings in Nanchang, Ganzhou and other places，with the slogans signed “Xinghua Association”，on June 6, 2018，he and Zeng Guofan’s wife were taken away by Nanchang police，and the following day were criminally detained on suspicion of “inciting subversion of state power”；Zeng Guofan’s wife was later released on bail pending trial，but he and Zeng Guofan were instead kept in detention by the 4•28 joint task force formed by the Nanchang Public Security Bureau，on July 13, 2018，the two were formally arrested by the Nanchang Municipal Procuratorate on the same charge，and detained at the Nanchang No. 1 Detention Center；on April 3, 2019，their case was heard at the Nanchang County Court in Jiangxi Province，where the charge was changed，and they were sentenced to two years’ imprisonment for “picking quarrels and provoking trouble”，after which they were sent to Nanchang Hongdu Prison to serve their sentences；on June 6, 2020，they were released after completing their sentences；

On May 9, 2022，his WeChat public account, “Yifei Soars into the Sky,” suddenly stopped being used，and his WeChat Moments also stopped updating on May 17，it was later learned that he had been taken away by police in Luzhou City, Sichuan Province, and placed under residential surveillance；on September 7 of the same year, he was transferred to criminal detention，and on September 30 he was arrested again；in November 2024，he was given a heavy sentence of 7 years and 6 months in prison, deprived of political rights for 3 years, and fined 80,000 yuan，with his sentence ending in January 2030。

It was learned on January 25, 2025，that five other core members were sentenced together with him，all accused of participating in the establishment and development of the “China Democratic Victory Party”，following trials by the Sichuan Luzhou Intermediate Court at first instance and the Sichuan High Court at second instance，all were sentenced to varying prison terms of between 12 and 3 years for “subversion of state power”; among them，he was sentenced to 7 years and 6 months，Tang Gaofeng was sentenced to 12 years，Wang Wei to 8 years，Zhou Dan to 6 years，Liu Zhenggang to 5 years and 6 months，and Dai Lu to 3 years; this case is a typical “persecution case involving the establishment of an underground party”，because all six of them were cut off from contact for 3 years，almost none of their family members received any legal documents or notices，and they were not permitted to see the individuals involved or apply for defense lawyers，receiving only intimidation and threats，so the case remained little known outside China。They were previously detained in Ward 1 of the Luzhou Detention Center in Sichuan Province。They were later transferred to Ward 9 of Leimaping Prison in Fuxi Town, Emeishan City, Sichuan Province, to serve their sentences。Sentence ending：January 2030。
