(Rights Defense Network Information Center report) On July 24, 2026, this website learned of the case details and profile of Ms. Gu Hongying, a Falun Gong practitioner from the Liaocheng Economic Development Zone in Shandong Province who was sentenced to 4 years. They are hereby reported as follows:
Gu Hongying: A female Falun Gong practitioner from the Liaocheng Economic Development Zone in Shandong Province. On November 4, 2025, police from the Dongcheng Police Station in Liaocheng City arrested Gu Hongying at her home and ransacked it. The following morning, police detained her at the Economic Development Zone Criminal Police Team. On November 6, the Liaocheng Economic Development Zone Criminal Police Team transferred Gu Hongying to the Liangshuizhen Detention Center in Liaocheng City and issued her family a so-called “arrest notification.” She was subsequently prosecuted. On June 17, 2026, she was tried at the Dongchangfu District Court. Gu Hongying was subsequently sentenced to 4 years in prison and fined 4,000 yuan. End of sentence: November 4, 2029.

Authorities raided a church gathering on April 12, taking preacher Yu Shaolin, Li Qun and Luo Ping into custody. The three were formally arrested on May 20 on suspicion of “organizing an illegal gathering” and are held at Guandu District Detention Center.
