Ms. Yang Shuzhen, a Falun Gong Practitioner from Jingyu County, Baishan City, Jilin Province, Sentenced to Four Years, Tortured in Prison

（Rights Defense Network Information Center report）On June 8, 2026， this website learned：Ms. Yang Shuzhen, a Falun Gong practitioner from Jingyu County, Baishan City, Jilin Province, who was sentenced to four years, was subjected to torture in Chun Women's Prison。

Yang Shuzhen：A female Falun Gong practitioner from Jingyu County, Baishan City, Jilin Province， In 2026, she was in her fifties， and lived in Xinhua Village, Jingyu County, Jilin Province。She later married and moved to Harbin, Heilongjiang Province， Because she remained firm in her faith and told people the truth， she was detained in Harbin Prison for four years。After being released， she divorced her husband， and was forced to return to Jingyu County, where she depended on her elderly mother for support。

On July 15, 2024， Yang Shuzhen was arrested at home by officers from the National Security Brigade of the Jingyu County Public Security Bureau。She was immediately detained at the Baishan City Detention Center。Before the Lunar New Year, on January 29, 2025， Yang Shuzhen's family received notice， that she had been sentenced to four years by the Jingyu County Court。Her sentence ends on：July 14, 2028。

After being sentenced， she was sent to the “Assault Room” in Ward 8 of Changchun Women's Prison， where she was subjected to various forms of torture。During one instance of brutal force-feeding by prison officers， Yang Shuzhen's teeth were pried out， and one of the teeth subsequently fell into her lungs during forced feeding， causing difficulty breathing and putting her life in danger， She was rushed to the hospital for emergency treatment。To remove the tooth， the hospital resected part of her lung tissue。After her teeth were pried out， she was unable to eat normally。
