Because his articles were widely disseminated through QQ groups、WeChat groups, and email inboxes, among other means,and were published several times on the overseas Beijing Spring website。In particular, in July 2018,after he published another article, “Letter to the China Labour Watch Organization”,which described the true situation of Chinese workers, especially migrant workers,requested that the China Labour Watch Organization help protect his rights,and was disseminated to netizens through QQ and WeChat groups,he came to the attention of the internet police,and on August 1 of the same year,he was summoned by police from the Fumin Police Station in Longhua District, Shenzhen,and detained the following day by police in Longhua District, Shenzhen, on suspicion of “the crime of picking quarrels and provoking trouble”;

After his release,because he had been subjected to torture, including electric shocks、food deprivation、and being shackled, for refusing to admit guilt while in detention,and because sleeping only on the floor for an extended period had caused him to develop rheumatism and lumbar spine disease,and because his right to communicate had also been prohibited,he repeatedly filed appeals, but to no avail;
On February 18, 2022,because he called on the Chinese Communist Party authorities to thoroughly investigate the Xuzhou “chained woman” case,he was taken away and criminally detained by police from Guigang City, Guangxi, at his residence in Daling Xincun, Nanning、and has been out of contact ever since;
On November 20, 2022,Lu Huihuang was sentenced at first instance by the Guigang City Court of the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region to 4 years and 6 months in prison for “the crime of inciting subversion of state power”,with his sentence running until August 17, 2026;dissatisfied with the judgment,he stated that he would appeal。He had previously been detained at the Guigang City Detention Center in Guangxi(Batang Town, Gangnan District, Guigang City, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region,postal code:537131)。
