Lu Baozhen: An 84-year-old female Falun Gong practitioner from Kaili City, Guizhou Province, born in 1942 and aged 84 in 2026. She is a senior forestry engineer (retired) and lives inside the Prefecture Forestry Science Research Institute at No. 6 Huancheng East Road, Kaili City, Guizhou Province. She began practicing Falun Gong in June 1995 and has repeatedly suffered persecution by the Chinese Communist Party for upholding the faith of Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance.
In mid-November 2025, she was arrested by police from the Kaili City Political Security Brigade and detained at a detention center for telling members of the public about Falun Gong and the facts of the persecution it has suffered. Because her blood pressure was too high, she was released on “bail pending trial” to return home, but Kaili City’s public security, procuratorate, and courts continued to advance her so-called “case.” On June 5, 2026, Lu Baozhen was arrested by four special police officers. The police claimed that she had already been sentenced to 3 years, but neither she nor her family has seen any written judgment to date. Lu Baozhen has currently been detained at the Kaili City Detention Center for more than one month. The sentence ends on: June 4, 2029.

Zion Church’s Open Prayer Letter Urging the Beihai Yinhai District Court to Immediately Release Wang Zhong and Wu Qiuyu
Zion Church said the Beihai Yinhai District Procuratorate indicted its “10·9” case on July 17, 2026, but a planned August pretrial conference and trial were postponed after lawyers protested.
