Case Details and Biography of Ms. Teng Qinhua, a Falun Gong Practitioner from Laizhou, Shandong, Sentenced to 3 Years in Prison

(Information Center of the Rights Defense Network report) On June 7, 2026, this website learned of the case details and biography of Ms. Teng Qinhua, a Falun Gong practitioner from Laizhou, Shandong, who was sentenced to 3 years in prison, and now reports as follows:

Teng Qinhua: A female Falun Gong practitioner from Laizhou, Shandong, born in 1955 and aged 71 in 2026. She lives in Beiliu Village, Laizhou, Shandong Province.

On May 8, 2023, Teng Qinhua was arrested by Laizhou police while participating in a group study of Falun Gong. Six other Falun Gong practitioners were also abducted. She was subsequently released on bail pending trial due to health reasons. On November 29, 2023, and May 15, 2024, the Laizhou Court held two hearings for the seven Falun Gong practitioners. On May 20, 2024, the court issued a written judgment to Teng Qinhua through her lawyer, sentencing her to three years in prison. Although Teng Qinhua was sentenced to three years, she was serving her sentence outside prison and was required to report regularly to the Laizhou Public Security Bureau during that period.

On December 4, 2025, Teng Qinhua went to the Public Security Bureau with her daughter to report as required. She kindly handed an official a truth USB drive, but was consequently searched and detained on the spot, then imprisoned and held at the Yantai Detention Center. On April 20, 2026, she was transferred to Jinan Prison. Her sentence runs until: December 2028.
