(Rights Defense Network Information Center report) On July 26, 2026, this website learned of the case details and profile of Ms. Li Guizhen, a Shandong Jinan Falun Gong practitioner sentenced to 3 years, and is now reporting them as follows:
Li Guizhen: A female Falun Gong practitioner from Jinan, Shandong, born in 1951 and 75 years old in 2026., a retired employee of a power company. Because she practiced Falun Gong, Li Guizhen was sentenced to four and a half years by the Huaiyin District Court of Jinan in March 2010 and detained in the Shandong Women's Prison.
On September 29, 2025, Li Guizhen and more than 40 other Falun Gong practitioners from Jinan, Shandong, were arrested by police from the Changqing District Public Security Bureau. At least 19 Falun Gong practitioners were criminally detained and subsequently held. Around early April 2026, Li Guizhen was tried by the Changqing District Court. In May, the Changqing District Court notified her family that Li Guizhen had been sentenced to 3 years. Sentence ends: September 28, 2028. She has now been transferred to the Shandong Women's Prison to serve her sentence.
