Hao Sanbao：A female Falun Gong practitioner from Xiangfang District, Harbin, Heilongjiang Province，born in 1949，aged 77 in 2026。Hao Sanbao began practicing Falun Gong in 1995。On July 20, 1999，the Chinese Communist Party began its frenzied persecution of Falun Gong，and Hao Sanbao and her family suffered greatly as a result。
Elderly Ms. Hao Sanbao was sentenced to 3 years by a Chinese Communist Party court in 2022，and due to her physical condition，she had been placed under residential surveillance at home and was not imprisoned。On December 23, 2025，Hao Sanbao was suddenly forcibly taken from her home by dozens of railway police officers，and on December 30 was transferred to Harbin Women’s Prison to be persecuted。At that time, Hao Sanbao was already unable to care for herself，and she was abducted by police while seated in a wheelchair。Sentence ends：December 22, 2028。

Chen Mingyan, a human rights defender from Ya’an, Sichuan, was arrested in 2022 and sentenced to four and a half years in prison for “picking quarrels and provoking trouble.” She was released on August 10, 2026. On September 6, she filed complaints against Chengdu Women’s Prison, alleging forced labor, assaults by inmates and poor-quality, overpriced supermarket goods.

Nantong Entrepreneur Zhang Weiguo Detained for 10 Days by the Chaoyang Branch of the Beijing Municipal Public Security Bureau
The Rights Defense Network Information Center reported that Nantong entrepreneur Zhang Weiguo was taken from the Jiangsu High People’s Court’s Beijing reception point on September 4, 2026, and received a 10-day administrative detention penalty from Beijing’s Chaoyang Branch on September 5 for obstructing official duties. Zhang, legal representative of Nantong Yuanjing Construction Engineering Co., Ltd., had petitioned the Supreme People’s Court for three years. The report also said Huang Juan was forced into a private car and remained unreachable.

Pastor Lian Xuliang in the Xi'an Fengsheng Church Case Released on September 5, 2026
The Rights Defense Network Information Center reported on September 7, 2026, that Pastor Lian Xuliang was released on September 5 in the Xi’an Fengsheng Church case. Lian Xuliang, Pastor Lian Changnian and evangelist Fu Juan were placed under residential surveillance at a designated location in August 2022, formally arrested in March 2023, and returned home in April 2025. They were detained again on November 2, 2025, while awaiting a verdict after their July 9, 2025 court hearing.
