Case Details and Profile of Ms. Cui Xiuju, a Falun Gong Practitioner from Longkou, Yantai City, Shandong Province, Sentenced to 3 Years and 9 Months

(Rights Defense Network Information Center report) On March 27, 2026, this website learned of the case details and profile of Ms. Cui Xiuju, a Falun Gong practitioner from Longkou, Yantai City, Shandong Province, who was sentenced to 3 years and 9 months. The details are reported as follows:

Cui Xiuju: A female Falun Gong practitioner from Longkou, Yantai City, Shandong Province, approximately 70 years old in 2026. In the early morning of July 17, 2025, Longkou Domestic Security used information on Falun Gong practitioners obtained through big-data systems, mobilized large numbers of police officers and auxiliary police from multiple police stations, and drove private cars to stake out locations at practitioners’ homes and places they frequently visited, carrying out arrests according to a list. At 8 a.m. that morning, the Domestic Security Brigade and the Development Zone Police Station staked out Xufu Dawang Market and arrested Falun Gong practitioners Cui Xiuju, Luan Yanping, and Li Yufang, who were explaining Falun Gong. They were immediately detained at the Yantai City Detention Center and criminally detained. They were subsequently formally arrested and prosecuted. The three were tried on January 23, 2026. On March 13, 2026, Cui Xiuju and Luan Yanping were sentenced to 3 years and 9 months in prison and fined 20,000 yuan; Li Yufang was sentenced to 2 years and 6 months in prison and fined 10,000 yuan. Cui Xiuju’s sentence ends on: April 16, 2029.
