(Rights Defense Network Information Center report) On June 6, 2026, this website learned the case details and biography of Ms. Wang Ping, a septuagenarian Falun Gong practitioner from Laizhou, Shandong, who was sentenced to 3 years and 6 months, and reports them as follows:

Wang Ping: A female Falun Gong practitioner from Laizhou City, Shandong Province, born in 1956 and aged 70 in 2026. She is a retired employee of the Laizhou Xinhua Bookstore. In 1996, she began practicing Falun Gong. Since the CCP launched its comprehensive persecution of Falun Gong on July 20, 1999, Wang Ping has been abducted and detained multiple times for persisting in her faith, and has suffered torture in brainwashing centers, detention centers, detention houses, and forced labor camps.

On December 10, 2025, Wang Ping was reported and arrested while telling people about Falun Gong on a street in the urban area of Laizhou City, after which domestic security police raided her home. She was framed up while detained at the Yantai Detention Center, and was criminally detained, formally arrested, and prosecuted. On May 28, 2026, the Laizhou City Court sentenced her to 3 years and 6 months in prison. Her sentence runs until June 9, 2029.
