Li Qingjun: A male Falun Gong practitioner from Shaoyang, Hunan, he began practicing Falun Dafa in 1996 while attending school. Because Li Qingjun persisted in practicing Falun Gong, he was arrested multiple times by Chinese Communist Party personnel. He was repeatedly detained in brainwashing classes, detention centers, criminal detention centers and re-education-through-labor camps, where he suffered various forms of physical torture, including punching and kicking, various forms of corporal punishment, being forced to sit on a small stool for long periods, electric shocks, injections of toxic substances and other forms of torture, as well as various forms of personal humiliation. The economic persecution included being extorted multiple times and having his wages and pension withheld.
Li Qingjun was arrested and detained by police in Zhuzhou City on February 22, 2025. In July 2026, he was sentenced to 3 years and 3 months by the Lusong District Court of Zhuzhou City. Sentence ends: May 21, 2028.
