The details are now reported as follows:

Chen Jihuan: A female Falun Gong practitioner from Yilan County, Harbin, born in 1954, and already 72 years old in 2016. She lives in Yongqing Village, Daotaiqiao Town, Yilan County. She began practicing Falun Gong in 1998. After the Chinese Communist Party began its frenzied persecution of Falun Gong on July 20, 1999, Chen Jihuan was repeatedly subjected to detention and persecution by the Chinese Communist Party for persisting in her Falun Gong faith; in addition to being illegally detained in detention centers multiple times, Chen Jihuan was sentenced to three years of re-education through labor in 2002 and sentenced to four years in prison in 2010, suffering various forms of torture and persecution at the Wanjia Re-education Through Labor Camp and Heilongjiang Women's Prison.

On August 18, 2025, Chen Jihuan was again arrested and her home was ransacked by police from Dongcheng Police Station, and she was criminally detained and held at the Harbin City Detention Center. Chen Jihuan was subsequently jointly framed by the Yilan County public security, procuratorate, and courts. It was learned in April 2026 that on March 11, 2026, Chen Jihuan was sentenced to 3 years and 10 months in prison by the Yilan County Court of Heilongjiang Province and fined 50,000 yuan. Her sentence runs until: June 17, 2029.
