Case Details and Profile of Bai Yanbin, a Falun Gong Practitioner from Chifeng, Inner Mongolia, Sentenced to 1 Year

(Rights Defense Network Information Center report) On April 3, 2026, this website learned of the case details and profile of Bai Yanbin, a Falun Gong practitioner from Chifeng, Inner Mongolia, who was sentenced to 1 year. The details are now reported as follows:

Bai Yanbin: A male Falun Gong practitioner from Chifeng, Inner Mongolia, and a native of Xiawafang Village, Wangyefu Town, Karaqin Banner, Chifeng City. He began practicing Falun Gong in 1998. After the Jiang Zemin clique of the Chinese Communist Party launched its frenzied persecution of Falun Gong in July 1999, Bai Yanbin was repeatedly harassed, subjected to home searches, abducted, detained, and forced into displacement by Chinese Communist Party personnel. At one point, he was unable to reunite with his family for seven years. In 2023, he was arrested and sentenced to 1 year and 6 months in prison. He was not released until December 2024.

Less than a year after his release, Bai Yanbin was again arrested and framed by local police around September 2025, and was sentenced to 1 year in prison. He is currently detained at the Chifeng City Prison in Inner Mongolia. His sentence runs until January 2026.
