Yang Qiang: A male Falun Gong practitioner from Dashiqiao, Yingkou City, Liaoning Province. The Dashiqiao Municipal Public Security Bureau monitored and tracked local Falun Gong practitioners via their mobile phones for as long as six months before carrying out a coordinated arrest operation on November 25, 2025. More than 20 police officers were deployed by the Criminal Police Brigade alone.
On November 25, 2025, the Meidu Police Station in Dashiqiao City arrested Yang Qiang. He was immediately detained at the Dashiqiao City Detention Center. He was subsequently criminally detained, formally arrested, and prosecuted. On July 16 and 17, 2026, the Zhanqian District Court held consecutive two-day hearings in the case and issued on August 11 (2026) Liao 0802 Xingchu No. 72 "Criminal Judgment," sentencing Yang Qiang to 1 year and 6 months in prison and fining him RMB 10,000; his sentence ends on: May 24, 2027.
