Xu Dongyu: A female Falun Gong practitioner from Chaisang District, Jiujiang City, Jiangxi Province, born in 1964 and aged 62 in 2026. She lives in Gangkoujie Town, Chaisang District, Jiujiang City, and began practicing Falun Gong in 1997.
Xu Dongyu was arrested around November 2025 by domestic security police from the Chaisang District Public Security Bureau. After being held and illegally interrogated at a hotel for more than ten days, she was sent to the Jiujiang City Detention Center. She was subsequently criminally detained, formally arrested, and prosecuted. It was learned in September 2026 that she had been sentenced to 1 year and 3 months and was expected to be transferred to Jiangxi Women's Prison. End of sentence: February 2027.
