(Report from the Information Center of the Rights Defense Network) On April 21, 2026, this website learned the case details and biography of Zhu Guangjun, a Falun Gong practitioner from Beijing’s Shunyi District who was sentenced to 1 year and 2 months, and is now reporting them as follows:

Zhu Guangjun: A male Falun Gong practitioner from Beijing’s Shunyi District, he lives in Guojiawu Town, Shunyi District, Beijing. He began practicing Falun Gong in his early years. Since the Chinese Communist Party began persecuting Falun Gong on July 20, 1999, Zhu Guangjun has previously been subjected to one year of re-education through labor and sentenced to five years in prison.

Mr. Zhu Guangjun was subjected to a home raid and arrested on September 14, 2025, by police from the Domestic Security Brigade of the Shunyi Branch of the Beijing Municipal Public Security Bureau and the Dasungezhuang Police Station, on the pretext that Falun Gong informational materials had been found hanging in Dasunge Town, Shunyi District, Beijing, and that his motorcycle had been identified in highway surveillance footage. He was then detained at the Shunyi Detention Center. He was subsequently criminally detained, formally arrested, and prosecuted. In mid-April 2026, Zhu Guangjun was sentenced by the Shunyi District Court to 1 year and 2 months in prison and fined 3,000 yuan. Sentence term through: November 13, 2026.
