A Series of Internal Photos from the Construction of the Yalong River Hydropower Station in Yajiang County, Garzê Prefecture, Reveals the Damage Suffered by the Tibetan Region’s Ecological Environment
On April 18, 2026, this website learned that the following series of photos are the latest internal photos of the Chinese Communist authorities’ construction of a hydropower station in the Yalong River area of Yajiang County, Garzê Prefecture, Sichuan Province. These images were obtained at great risk from construction manuals inside the Tibetan region.
The photos show the blasting of the mountains and rivers in the Tibetan region before the construction of the hydropower station, excavation on the mountain slopes, and the generating units inside the power station, vividly revealing the systematic destruction of the Tibetan region’s ecological environment by the Chinese Communist authorities.
