Pastor Yang Jun (husband of Wu Qiuyu): The Yinhai District Branch and Yinhai District Procuratorate are openly violating the law and are inefficient!

By Weiquan Information CenterPublished Jul 7, 2026

Today (July 7, 2026), Wu Qiuyu’s defense lawyer requested that the Yinhai District Branch return Wu Qiuyu’s identity card. According to Article 149 of the Criminal Procedure Law, “For property or documents that have been sealed or seized … once it has been determined that they are indeed unrelated to the case, the sealing or seizure shall be lifted and they shall be returned within three days.” This is not the first time the lawyer has requested the return of the identity card. Officer Xie Fei of the Yinhai District Branch has refused to return the original identity card, citing business trips, despite the lawyer’s repeated attempts to contact him and submission of a written application requesting its return, and told the lawyer to follow the procedures. The lawyer has already filed a complaint by calling 12389.

On the same day, Wu Qiuyu’s defense lawyer went to the procuratorate to obtain the case files. The appointment had been made early that morning, but the lawyer was still not given the files by the afternoon, on the grounds that they had not yet been copied. Does it take you a whole day to copy one set of case files? What kind of efficiency is this? Why have other family members already obtained the case files?

Last month, the lawyer applied for bail pending trial and received a response on June 28, refusing bail on the grounds that “some of the criminal facts have not been clarified.” May I ask: after investigating for more than seven months and retrieving the phone, computer and bank-card transaction records, how can you still not have clarified them?

Case timeline:

At 8 p.m. on October 10, 2025, Wu Qiuyu was taken from her home in Beijing by police from Beihai’s Yinhai District;

On October 12, 2025, I was issued a detention notice, but the date on the document was September 26, 2025 (did you know this in advance?)

On November 18, 2025, the Yinhai District Procuratorate approved the Yinhai District Branch’s arrest of Wu Qiuyu after 37 days in detention, on suspicion of “the illegal use of information networks”;

On January 18, 2026, the investigation period expired and was extended by one month to February;

On February 18, 2026, it was extended again by two months to April;

On April 18, 2026, it was extended again by two months to June;

On June 18, 2026, she was transferred to the procuratorial authorities;

On June 29, 2026, the procuratorial authorities refused bail on the grounds that “some facts have not been clarified.”

I have never seen patients with such a serious case of procrastination as you! Isn’t this disguised abuse of our family member?
