Li Qiaochu: Update on Xu Zhiyong’s Situation in Prison (August 29, 2026)

Yesterday, I received a letter written by Xu Zhiyong on August 21, 2026. He told me that his outdoor time has improved—it is now 10 a.m. every day and lasts half an hour. Our correspondence has also been somewhat smoother recently than it was over the past two months.

Having his outdoor time return to normal and seeing an improvement in our correspondence are positive encouragements for me. Having received his own confirmation, I will consider this matter closed for now. Going forward, I will also regularly ask about his basic living conditions in my letters.

It is now early autumn, and I hope he can go outside for a walk and get some sunlight every day. Thank you to everyone who has been paying attention.
