On March 16, 2026，Wuxi's Liangxi District petitioner Chen Fengdi and two companions went to Beijing to report their grievances to relevant state departments，and as soon as they arrived at Beijing South Railway Station，they were stopped by Beijing police，and subsequently handed over to the Wuxi Office in Beijing，where they were detained at the Beijing Jinghua Hotel operated by the Office in Beijing (a black jail established by the Chinese Communist Party's Wuxi authorities in Beijing) and had their mobile phones and personal belongings taken，that evening，personnel from Wuxi's Liangxi public security、petitioning and subdistrict offices drove them back to Wuxi in a sedan，on the way，the three firmly resisted，and when the vehicle reached Shandong，three burly men got in，and immediately attacked the three，Chen Fengdi and the other two were not afraid and resisted firmly，but the three men beat them violently，knocking all three to the ground，Chen Fengdi suffered four broken ribs and multiple injuries across her body，while the other two also suffered multiple injuries across their bodies。

After arriving in Wuxi，to prevent information from leaking，Wuxi public security and petitioning authorities，together with the subdistrict office，detained the three at a police station for 24 hours，then confined them in their homes，preventing them from contacting or communicating with the outside world，and Chen Fengdi and the other two are still being deprived of their personal freedom。

It was also learned that Yan Xiangping，a petitioner from Guangyi Subdistrict in Wuxi's Liangxi District，bought a train ticket on the afternoon of March 17 to go to Beijing to report her grievances，but as soon as she entered the station，she was kidnapped and taken back by the police station in her locality without any legal procedures，and was released after being detained at the police station for 24 hours。

It is understood that Chen Fengdi became the target of a series of abuses of power，including collusion between the Shanghai and Wuxi courts to issue an unlawful joint ruling over a labor dispute during her employment in Shanghai，followed by the Wuxi court's deliberate unlawful sentencing and fabrication of evidence to seize her property。

Yan Xiangping began her rights-defense efforts in 2025，after the shop premises she rented from the Guangyi Subdistrict Community Health Service Center in Wuxi's Liangxi District were sublet to a secondary landlord，and the Liangxi District Health Commission，as the immediate superior authority of the Guangyi Subdistrict Community Health Service Center，refused to compensate her for the buildings constructed during her rental period。
