(Rights Defense Network Information Center report)On April 2, 2026,this outlet learned the case details and biography of Dajie, a Tibetan monk from Sertar County, Tibet, who was sentenced to 7 years for allegedly providing offerings to His Holiness the Dalai Lama. They are now reported as follows:

Dajie:A Tibetan from Sertar County, Tibet,of Tibetan ethnicity,born in 1962,aged 64 in 2026,he is a monk at Sera Monastery in Sertar County, Tibet. Before his arrest, he had lived in Lhasa for a long period,engaging in religious activities and providing religious services to the faithful。

Dajie was arrested by the Chinese Communist authorities in Lhasa on August 5, 2021,for providing offerings to His Holiness the Dalai Lama,and was secretly sentenced to 7 years in prison。Sentence end date:August 4, 2028。However, his family's right to know and right to visit him in prison have been denied,and the specific location where Dajie is being held, as well as his health condition, remain unclear。
