Update on the Beijing Zion Church “10·9” Case (May 29, 2026)

By Weiquan Information CenterPublished May 29, 2026

In the Beijing Zion Church“10·9” case, the 18 pastors and co-workers who remain in detention have been held in the No. 1 and No. 2 Detention Centers in Beihai, Guangxi, on suspicion of the crime of “illegally using information networks.” They have now entered their 233rd day in detention.

1. On May 26, lawyers learned that Pastor Jin Mingri had been transferred to the procuratorate; his family has not yet received any formal written notice.

2. The other 17 pastors and co-workers have not yet received any information regarding a transfer to the procuratorate.

3. The weather in Beihai is currently hot. In the high-temperature, high-humidity conditions, more than 30 detainees are crowded into a 40-square-meter room, and severe prickly heat and eczema symptoms have appeared.

4. Pastors and co-workers suffering from serious illnesses still have not received effective medication or treatment; even requests for nutritional meals have been refused, causing their health to deteriorate.

5. The 18 pastors and co-workers are severely malnourished and emaciated, and their health is a serious concern.

6. As of now, only five of the sisters have received Bibles, and the communication rights of the detained pastors and co-workers are restricted.

Prayer requests:

1. May God guide all those handling the case—including the heads of the special case teams, the detention guards, the public security, procuratorate, court and justice departments, supervisory departments, and higher-level departments—so that everyone may act with reverence, respect the rights granted by the country's laws, and treat our 18 detained pastors and co-workers according to fairness and justice.

2. May God bring justice to the Yinhai District Procuratorate, grant the staff fairness and goodness, and grant Pastor Jin Mingri wisdom to respond to all unjust and unrighteous dialogue.

3. May God watch over the bodies of the 18 pastors and co-workers and heal them personally.

4. May God grant the grace of Daniel, so that although the 18 pastors and co-workers do not receive sufficient nutrition, they may rely on the Lord to remain physically strong, healthy-looking, and filled with God's spirit of understanding.

5. The wife of Pastor Lin Shucheng, Pastor's Wife Tingting, is already 39 weeks pregnant. May God watch over the delivery process so that it goes smoothly and mother and child remain safe. May He also guide Pastor Lin Shucheng to return to his wife and three children as soon as possible.

6. May God watch over all the lawyers, strengthen their spirits and the work in their hands, and also watch over and protect their families from disturbance by the evil one.

7. May God watch over the daily lives of the families and children, comfort everyone's hearts, and wipe away all their tears; may God personally bear every burden and grant peace and joy.

8. May God open a way in the media, so that fair, free, and truthful voices may be heard; may He remove the lies that blind people.

9. May God release His servants, both men and women, so that they may return to their families and church as soon as possible.

We strongly condemn all despicable acts carried out in darkness and call for respect for the rights granted by the country's Constitution and laws. We will also continue to pray earnestly, hoping that fairness will surge like mighty waters and righteousness roll on like a never-failing river. May light and goodness be manifested on this land.
