At noon today，I saw my wife off at Pudong International Airport as she went to Japan to visit relatives。She took Japan Airlines flight NH920，which departed at 1 p.m.。

Originally，we planned to travel to Japan together to visit relatives on March 17；however，I was prevented from leaving the country at Hongqiao International Airport，and had to give up that day's trip。Today，she went to Japan alone to visit relatives and sightsee，while I continued to remain in the country，pressing the Ministry of Public Security for answers on the relevant issues。

For me，whether I can go to hot springs or sample Japanese cuisine，is not the most important thing。More important is safeguarding citizens' legally protected right to freely travel abroad。I also hope to use this opportunity，to hold an open discussion with the relevant authorities and the public，and to increase society's awareness of this issue。

I am merely an ordinary person，I am not that“powerful”，nor can I be called great。Now some people are worried that I might leave the country，and have even claimed that my going abroad could endanger national security and interests，which in my view is truly a joke。It precisely demonstrates that the heads of certain departments do not truly love their country，and also lack the confidence in China they ought to have。

Coincidentally，this is exactly like the joke that took place 16 years ago。At that time，some departments were afraid that I would return to China，and I was refused entry at the country's border eight consecutive times，remaining stranded at Tokyo's Narita Airport for 92 days。Ultimately，on February 12，2010，the Chinese government allowed me to return to China in accordance with the law，correcting the mistakes of certain officials，winning the support of the people，and restoring the country's dignity。
