Pastor Yu Shaolin, Brother Li Qun and Brother Luo Ping of Kunming’s Century New Town Church in Yunnan Have Been Detained for 21 Days; Families Still Have Received No Written Notice

（Rights Defense Network Information Center report）On May 4, 2026， this publication learned： Pastor Yu Shaolin, Brother Li Qun and Brother Luo Ping of Kunming’s Century New Town Church in Yunnan have been detained for 21 days, and their families still have not received any written notice。

Kunming Century New Town Church reported：“On April 12, 2026， Kunming Century New Town Church was raided during its Sunday gathering， and the authorities detained Pastor Yu Shaolin, Brother Li Qun and Brother Luo Ping， To date, 21 days have passed， yet their families still have not received any written materials， and do not know under what charges they are being held at the detention center in Guandu District, Kunming。

Not only that， the authorities also summoned the brothers and sisters one by one to the police station for questioning and to make written records， using all kinds of coercion, inducements, high-pressure intimidation and threats， and pressing them about who the organizer was， who collected the offerings， and so on。 They threatened that everyone inside had confessed， and that if you did not speak, you were resisting the government and the law and would be prosecuted。 Many believers were summoned twice， some three times， and even two sisters who were ill and hospitalized were summoned to the police station for questioning。

Pastor Yu Shaolin is 52 years old， and previously suffered from thalassemia， which has improved considerably in recent years， while he also suffers from the following conditions： carotid artery plaque， liver damage， poor kidney function， severe varicose veins in his right leg that make surgery impossible， and swelling and pain in his right leg。 Yu Shaolin’s wife, Siqi, is also in poor health， suffering from an adrenal tumor， which causes not only pain but also high blood pressure and high blood lipids， and she takes medication over the long term。
