Yuan Shufang: A Falun Gong practitioner from Lushuihe Town, Fusong County, Baishan City, Jilin Province; Manchu; born in 1954; 72 years old in 2026; she lives on Beishan Street in Lushuihe Town, Fusong County. On July 29, 1997, she began practicing Falun Gong. During the Chinese Communist Party's persecution of Falun Gong, Yuan Shufang was detained twice and suffered inhumane torture at the hands of detention-center and public-security-sub-bureau police. In 2004, she was sentenced to one and a half years in a reeducation-through-labor camp, where she was tortured and subjected to forced brainwashing.
Yuan Shufang was secretly arrested in 2025, and the outside world had received no further information about her. In August 2026, it was learned that she had been sentenced to four years and is currently imprisoned in Changchun Women's Prison.
