Pastor Jin Mingri Gains Freedom: A Thank-You Letter from His Wife Anna
Dear family:
Thank you all for your support and companionship over this entire period。
It was not until yesterday——the morning of July 3,when I finally received definite news, knowing that “Pastor Jin had boarded a plane bound for Los Angeles”,that my heart truly felt at rest。Before that,I did not even dare believe that such a miracle could really become a reality。
Thank God,He heard our countless earnest prayers。Just when my family and I were almost unable to bear this tremendous pressure,He prepared this miraculous way out for us。I know full well that this grace could not have come without everyone’s support, and so I also ask everyone to join us in remembering those who worked tirelessly to make this happen。
First of all, Pastor Jin himself。 Until the very last moment,he did not compromise with those accusations。He openly acknowledged everything he had done——spreading the good news of Jesus online、establishing Zion Church、preaching the gospel of God、and raising up disciples of the Lord Jesus, these were not crimes, but his faith and mission。
Next are the lawyers who bravely accepted the cost。 In an atmosphere where many people avoided the matter out of fear and the surrounding environment was filled with dread, they nevertheless steadfastly fulfilled their duties as criminal-defense attorneys。I hope that we family members will remember them forever, and I also hope everyone will join us in remembering them:
Attorney Zhang Kai:I silently pray to God in my heart, may God Himself remember you。You stood up for our family, even without considering your own safety。
Attorneys Zeng Yue、Deng Qinggao、and Li Guisheng: Thank you to every member of the entire legal team,it was your professionalism and integrity that supported us。
Attorneys Bao Longjun and Wang Yu: As the attorneys bringing the complaint on behalf of Pastor Jin,they were still rushing around Beihai in the sweltering heat at the end of June, braving the blazing sun to submit complaint materials for Pastor Jin。
I hope even more that everyone will remember my daughter Grace。 From the day she heard that her father had been arrested, she never relaxed for even a single day。At that time she was in the earliest stage of pregnancy and should have been resting carefully, but she completely disregarded the danger to her health and threw herself wholeheartedly into the effort to rescue her father。Everyone saw her statements in Congress、her appeals in the media and on YouTube programs, but what everyone did not see were the countless tears she shed, the doors of legislators’ offices she knocked on from one to the next, the fasting prayers she joined with family members late into the night, and her tireless communication with various human-rights scholars……
As we all know,I also want to express my most sincere thanks to everyone who extended a helping hand at critical moments。 Thank you, President Trump, thank you, Secretary of State Rubio, thank you to the 44 senators and members of the House who signed jointly and spoke out loudly for Pastor Jin’s release,as well as the staff members who paid countless costs in communication behind the scenes、and the brave Chinese and foreign journalists…… At the same time,I am also deeply grateful to President Xi for personally following up on this matter。
There are not enough words to express our thanks, and our gratitude can never be repaid。I know there are countless acts of kindness that have not been mentioned, and I only hope that God,who sees all of this, will kiss and remember every tear and every effort!
As we look back on the past and face what lies ahead,my heart remains heavy。I ask everyone to continue making even greater efforts to appeal for the eight pastors and co-workers who remain detained! They have never given up on proving their innocence, and they are my beloved family members in the Zion Church case:
Pastor Yin Huibin、Pastor Gao Yingjia、Pastor Wang Lin、Pastor Liu Zhenbin、Pastor Lin Shucheng、Pastor Wang Cong、evangelist Wu Qiuyu、and Elder Wang Zhong。
Besides them, there are also Pastor Gao Quanfu, who is like an elder brother to me、Pastor-Mother Pang Yu, who is like an elder sister to me,and my beloved brothers and sisters in Christ, Elder Li Yingqiang and Pastor Wang Yi…… They are all genuine Christians, willing to pay a price for their faith。But they are clearly innocent, and we truly cannot bear to see them continue to be mistreated!
Therefore, our steps cannot stop。We must continue participating in the “Day of Fasting and Prayer for Persecuted Chinese House Churches” activities。The lights that stayed awake through the night、the knees that knelt down, and every act of perseverance during fasting and prayer are all our strength。
Finally, thank you all once again for everything you have done for Pastor Jin and for our family。Even if it was only a warm greeting in the past、a kind expression of concern,or silently forwarding a post with your finger once……those tiny rays of light gathered into the warm sun that illuminated our way home。Thank you!At the same time, I also ask everyone to give Pastor Jin and our family some time to recover from our wounds and regain our health。I promise it will not be too long, and everyone will see Pastor Jin again: although he has lost 30 jin in weight, has much grayer hair, and slightly stooped shoulders,he will still carry a warm smile and remain willing to help others flourish。
Thank you, thank you, everyone!

Chow Hang-tung: Statement of Plea
The author rejects a 206-page judgment that, they argue, treats belief in ending one-party dictatorship as unconstitutional and criminal. They say law cannot control thoughts, condemn obedience to authoritarian power, and describe ending one-party dictatorship as a responsibility of Hong Kong and Chinese people. The author refuses to apologize for these beliefs, accepts possible imprisonment, and vows to continue pursuing democracy, accountability for the 1989 massacre and a democratic Hong Kong and China.
