Wang Zhaomin: a Falun Gong practitioner from Dashiqiao City, Yingkou, Liaoning, and a resident of Dongzhi Village, Yong'an Town, Dashiqiao City.
The Dashiqiao Municipal Public Security Bureau monitored and tracked local Falun Gong practitioners via their mobile phones for as long as six months, and carried out a coordinated arrest operation on November 25, 2025. More than 20 police officers were deployed by the Criminal Police Brigade alone.
On November 25, 2025, police broke into the home of Yong'an Town Falun Gong practitioner Wang Zhaomin and arrested him. He was then detained at the Dashiqiao City Detention Center. They were subsequently all criminally detained, followed by approval of their arrests and prosecution. On July 16 and 17, 2026, the Zhanqian District Court held hearings in the case for two consecutive days, and on August 11 issued the Criminal Judgment (2026) Liao 0802 Xing Chu No. 72, sentencing Wang Zhaomin to 7 years in prison and a fine of 40,000 yuan; sentence to end on: November 24, 2032.
