Liu Haiyan:A female Falun Gong practitioner from Longkou, Yantai City, Shandong Province,approximately 60 years old in 2026,and a former employee of the Longkou Mining Bureau Technical School。She began practicing Falun Gong in 1997。During the Chinese Communist Party’s frenzied persecution of Falun Gong,Liu Haiyan was abducted multiple times,and persecuted in detention centers、brainwashing classes、and re-education-through-labor camps,and was once persecuted to the point of suffering a mental breakdown。
Liu Haiyan was arrested by police from the Longkou Economic Development Zone Police Station on July 17, 2025,and was immediately placed under criminal detention。She was formally arrested on August 8,and detained at the Yantai City Detention Center。It was later learned,that Liu Haiyan was sentenced to 5 years by the Longkou City Court at the end of October 2025,and was transferred to Shandong Women's Prison to serve her sentence around the end of 2025。Sentence ends:July 16, 2030。

Case Details and Biography of Sun Chao, Christian Church Preacher in Qujing, Yunnan, Criminally Detained
Sun Chao, a Christian preacher at Philadelphia Church in Qujing, Yunnan, was transferred to criminal detention on August 7, 2026, after completing a 12-day administrative detention for preaching the Gospel. Authorities reportedly cited suspected “illegal organization of gatherings.” Sun, who has epilepsy and requires regular medication, is detained at Xuanwei City Detention Center. His wife, Zhao Ying, has appealed for attention to his health and rights.
