(Rights Defense Network Information Center report) On October 5, 2026, this website learned that Ms. Jing Fengyun, a Falun Gong practitioner in her seventies from Siping, Jilin Province, who was sentenced to four years, has endured prolonged torture in Jilin Women’s Prison. On September 11, 2026, Jing Fengyun returned home after four years in hell.
Jing Fengyun: A female Falun Gong practitioner from Siping, Jilin Province, born in 1951 and aged 75 in 2026, she was formerly a nurse at Siping First People’s Hospital. She began practicing Falun Gong in June 1998. During the Chinese Communist Party’s frenzied persecution of Falun Gong, she was sent to a re-education-through-labor camp twice, for a total of three years, and sentenced to prison three times, for a total of 11 years, for persisting in her belief in Falun Gong: she was sentenced to five years in 2002; two years in 2015; and another four years in 2022. While detained, Jing Fengyun endured every kind of torture.
On September 11, 2022, while working as a caregiver at the home of Falun Gong practitioner Guo Caihua in Changchun, Jing Fengyun was explaining Falun Gong on Heishui Road in Tiebei, Changchun, when she was arrested by police from the Nangangchang Police Station of the Kuancheng Branch of the Changchun Public Security Bureau. She was subsequently criminally detained, formally arrested, and prosecuted. On April 28, 2023, Jing Fengyun was tried and sentenced to four years by the Kuancheng District Court in Changchun. She was later transferred to Jilin Women’s Prison. There, she was subjected to severe persecution for a prolonged period and forced to endure torture including “sitting on a small stool.” Her buttocks became ulcerated and infected from prolonged pressure, and the wounds were so deep that bone was exposed; her condition was extremely tragic. The prolonged torture has caused irreversible injuries, and her health is currently very weak.

The Rights Defense Network Information Center reported that Du Likun, a Falun Gong practitioner from Handan, Hebei, born in 1984, was sentenced to five years in prison in September 2026, with her term running until January 2031. Arrested with her husband and mother on February 19, 2025, she was detained for about seven months and released on bail on September 14. The Feixiang District Court took her into custody on August 19, 2026.
