Liu Ruping:A male Falun Gong practitioner from Jinan, Shandong,born in 1961,and 65 years old in 2026。Liu Ruping was formerly director of the Legal Research Office of the Party School of Changqing District, Jinan City,and also a full-time lawyer at Shuntian Law Firm。His wife, Zhang Chenglan, is an engineer at the Economic and Information Technology Bureau of Changqing District, Jinan City。
On September 29, 2025,Liu Ruping, Zhang Chenglan, and more than 40 other Falun Gong practitioners from Jinan, Shandong Province, were arrested by police from the Changqing District Public Security Bureau,and at least 19 Falun Gong practitioners were criminally detained and subsequently held in custody。Liu Ruping and Zhang Chenglan were brought before the Changqing District Court on March 13, 2026。On April 15, 2026,Liu Ruping was sentenced to 3 and a half years,while Zhang Chenglan was sentenced to 3 years,and the two were fined a total of 18,000 yuan。This is already Liu Ruping's third prison sentence and Zhang Chenglan's second prison sentence。They were also both subjected to persecution through re-education through labor。Liu Ruping's sentence runs until March 28, 2029:

Case Details and Biography of Sun Chao, Christian Church Preacher in Qujing, Yunnan, Criminally Detained
Sun Chao, a Christian preacher at Philadelphia Church in Qujing, Yunnan, was transferred to criminal detention on August 7, 2026, after completing a 12-day administrative detention for preaching the Gospel. Authorities reportedly cited suspected “illegal organization of gatherings.” Sun, who has epilepsy and requires regular medication, is detained at Xuanwei City Detention Center.
