Liang Jianguo: A male Falun Gong practitioner from Datonghu District, Yiyang City, Hunan Province, and a native of Heba Town, Datonghu District, Yiyang City. He was born in 1964 and was 62 years old in 2026. He began practicing Falun Gong in 1997. Because he persisted in his Falun Gong faith, he has long suffered persecution by the Chinese Communist Party’s public security, procuratorial and judicial system. He had previously been arrested and detained multiple times, subjected to two and a half years of reeducation through labor, and sentenced twice, to 4 years and 4 and a half years.
On November 6, 2025, Liang Jianguo was arrested while distributing Falun Gong materials in Qianshanhong Town and detained at the Datonghu Detention Center. In August 2026, it was learned that he had been sentenced to 3 years and was sent to prison on August 5, 2026, to serve his sentence, which runs until: November 5, 2028.
