Sun Changhe: Falun Gong practitioner from Pingdu, Shandong; male, born in 1951, aged 75 in 2026. He is a retired employee of the Pingdu Electric Power Company.
Sun Changhe was arrested, detained and persecuted by police on January 7, 2026, for participating in a group study session for Falun Gong practitioners. Sun Changhe was first taken to the Chengguan Police Station for detention.
At 9 p.m. on January 8, police took him to the People's Hospital for a medical examination. Because he failed to meet the physical requirements, he was forcibly subjected to a second medical examination. He was then still illegally detained at the Pingdu Men Village Detention Center. On June 1, 2026, the Pingdu Court held a trial for Sun Changfa at the Men Village Detention Center.
In August 2026, it was learned that Sun Changhe had been sentenced to three years in prison by the Pingdu Court. The sentence runs until January 6, 2029.
