Wang Housheng: A male Falun Gong practitioner from Jinan, Shandong, born in 1960 and aged 66 in 2026. A retired employee of the Jinan Dazhong Daily (the official newspaper of the Shandong Provincial Party Committee). Because he practiced Falun Gong, Wang Housheng was subjected to persecution through reeducation through labor by the Chinese Communist Party twice: in 2000, he was sentenced by the Jinan police to three years of reeducation through labor, and in 2005, he was again sentenced by the Jinan police to one and a half years of reeducation through labor.
On September 29, 2025, Wang Housheng and more than 40 other Falun Gong practitioners from Jinan, Shandong Province, were arrested by police from the Changqing District Public Security Bureau. At least 19 Falun Gong practitioners were criminally detained and imprisoned.
At noon on May 28, 2026, Wang Housheng’s family received an express mail delivery from a prison in Shandong Province. Wang Housheng had been sentenced to 3 years, and it stated that he had been transferred to a prison in Shandong Province on May 20, 2026, to serve his sentence. Sentence expires: September 28, 2028.

Sun Chao, a Christian preacher at Philadelphia Church in Qujing, Yunnan, was transferred to criminal detention on August 7, 2026, after completing a 12-day administrative detention for preaching the Gospel.
