(Rights Defense Network Information Center report) On September 4, 2026, this website learned of the case details and biography of Ms. Pan Xiuhua, a Falun Gong practitioner from Urumqi who was sentenced to three years. The information is reported as follows:

Pan Xiuhua: A female Falun Gong practitioner from Urumqi, Xinjiang. Born in 1954, she is 72 years old in 2026. Since the Chinese Communist Party launched its persecution of Falun Gong in July 1999, Pan Xiuhua has been subjected to systematic persecution by the Chinese Communist Party for persisting in her faith and telling the public the truth. She has been illegally subjected to reeducation through labor, sentenced multiple times, detained, and held in brainwashing classes, spending more than a decade in prison.

At the end of December 2025, Pan Xiuhua and another Falun Gong practitioner, Luo Chuanmei, were reported while telling the public about Falun Gong. In early March 2025, they were lured away and arrested by police from Shuimogou District and Xinshi District under the pretext of “questioning,” and held in the No. 4 Detention Center. They were subsequently criminally detained, formally arrested, and prosecuted. Pan Xiuhua was ultimately sentenced to three years and is currently being held at Xinjiang No. 2 Prison (Women's Prison). Her sentence runs until March 2028.
