Wang Jun: A male Falun Gong practitioner from Dashiqiao City, Yingkou, Liaoning, he lives in Qiaotaipu Village, Gangdu Subdistrict, Dashiqiao City.
The Dashiqiao City Public Security Bureau monitored and tracked local Falun Gong practitioners via their mobile phones for as long as six months before carrying out a coordinated arrest operation on November 25, 2025. More than 20 police officers were deployed by the Criminal Police Brigade alone.
Wang Jun was arrested by police who entered his home on November 25, 2025. He was immediately detained at the Dashiqiao City Detention Center. They were subsequently criminally detained and later formally arrested and prosecuted. On July 16 and 17, 2026, the Zhanqian District Court held hearings in the case for two consecutive days and issued on August 11 the Criminal Judgment No. (2026) Liao 0802 Xingchu 72. Wang Jun was sentenced to 2 years and 6 months in prison and fined 10,000 Chinese yuan; end of sentence: May 24, 2028.
