Song Huichan: A female Falun Gong practitioner from Tianjin's Binhai New Area, born in 1959 and aged 67 in 2026. She was formerly an employee of the Tianjin Waterway Bureau. Because she persisted in her Falun Gong faith, she was repeatedly persecuted by the Chinese Communist Party, including being dismissed from public employment, subjected to re-education through labor once, and sentenced to prison twice.

On April 11, 2025, Song Huichan was talking about Falun Gong by the roadside opposite Xincun Shanghai Road Primary School. After being reported, she was arrested by three police officers from the Xincun Police Station in Tianjin. She was subsequently criminally detained, formally arrested, and prosecuted. She was ultimately sentenced to 2 years in prison. On June 17, 2026, she was transferred to Tianjin Women's Prison to serve her sentence. End of sentence: April 10, 2027.
