Wang Qingrong: A female Falun Gong practitioner in Qitaihe, Heilongjiang, born in June 1957, 2026 years old, and a worker at Taoshan Mine in Qitaihe. She began practicing Falun Gong in 1996.
In January 2026, five Falun Gong practitioners in Qitaihe, Heilongjiang—Ren Shuling, the couple Yang Shuguang and Wang Qingrong, Wu Chenghua, and Wu Shiyang—were arrested by police and subsequently placed in criminal detention, formally arrested, and indicted. All are being held at the Qitaihe City Detention Center. In September 2026, reliable information was received that all five had been sentenced: Ren Shuling was sentenced to 1 year and 6 months and fined 10,000 yuan; Yang Shuguang, Wang Qingrong, Wu Chenghua, and Wu Shiyang were each sentenced to 10 months and fined 5,000 yuan; Wang Qingrong’s sentence runs until November 2026.

A Rights Defense Network Information Center report says Fu Juan, a fellow worker and preacher at Xi'an Abundant Christian Church, was sentenced by the Baqiao District Court to three years and six months for fraud. She was detained in August 2022, formally arrested in March 2023, released on bail in April 2025, and taken back into custody in November 2025. She is serving her sentence at Shaanxi Women’s Prison, with her term due to end December 5, 2026.

Nanjing Rights Activist Su Li, Who Was Arrested, Sentenced to Probation and Released
A Rights Defense Network Information Center report said on October 1, 2026, that Nanjing rights activist Su Li had been sentenced to three years’ probation and released several months earlier. Police took her from her home on September 1, 2025, and she was later criminally detained on suspicion of “picking quarrels and provoking trouble.” The report said she had been held at Nanjing Detention Center and now has lung cancer.

Pastor and preacher An Yankui of Taiyuan Xuncheng Reformed Church placed under 15 days of administrative detention for “organizing illegal religious activities”
The Rights Defense Network Information Center reported that preacher An Yankui, pastor of Taiyuan Xuncheng Reformed Church, was taken from his home by the Taiyuan Public Security Bureau at about 10:30 a.m. on September 29, 2026, on suspicion of organizing illegal religious activities. His wife, Yao Congya, was told the next day that he had been placed in administrative detention for 15 days. In 2022, An was sentenced to one year in prison for illegally crossing national territory.
