Urgent Attention: Yang Caiying: My Mother Xu Dongqing Was Persecuted to Death, and My Father Was Violently Beaten
Yang Caiying: My mother, Xu Dongqing, unfortunately passed away at 6:25 a.m. yesterday after suffering persecution by the Chinese Communist Party. Just now, my beast of an uncle, Xu Liuhong, acting on the instructions of officials from the Jintan District Political and Legal Affairs Commission, repeatedly smashed my father Yang Guoliang’s head with a chair in my mother’s mourning hall. My father is now unconscious, with severe bleeding from his temple and inside his mouth, and is in life-threatening condition. My younger sister repeatedly called the police starting at 18:58, but the Jintan police have continuously refused to send officers. Address: No. 175, Wuguan Village, Chengnan Village Committee, Jintan District, Changzhou City, Jiangsu Province
The Jintan police still refuse to send officers. My younger sister Yang Li is now at home guarding my mother’s mourning hall, while my father is undergoing emergency treatment at a hospital accompanied by a distant relative. His current condition is unknown.
What we know at present is that Xu Liuhong has been in close contact with the Jintan District Political and Legal Affairs Commission, Zhou Jun, secretary of Xicheng Subdistrict in Jintan District, and Ma Yunpeng, director of the Binhu Police Station in Jintan.
The video shows that my father was beaten repeatedly, and my relatives were also beaten.

Chow Hang-tung: Statement of Plea
The author rejects a 206-page judgment that, they argue, treats belief in ending one-party dictatorship as unconstitutional and criminal. They say law cannot control thoughts, condemn obedience to authoritarian power, and describe ending one-party dictatorship as a responsibility of Hong Kong and Chinese people. The author refuses to apologize for these beliefs, accepts possible imprisonment, and vows to continue pursuing democracy, accountability for the 1989 massacre and a democratic Hong Kong and China.
